The Thypoch Ksana 35mm f/2 ASPH expands the Ksana series with a classic 35mm focal length for reportage, street, travel, documentary, landscape and environmental portrait photography. Its natural perspective offers a well-balanced combination of spatial depth, context and proximity to the subject.

Measuring just 27 mm in length and weighing around 198.6 g, the Ksana 35mm f/2 ASPH is exceptionally compact and well suited as a discreet everyday lens for M-mount cameras. Its solid brass construction provides a premium tactile feel and durable mechanical build, while the black and silver finishes are deliberately inspired by classic camera design.

A key feature is Thypoch’s Epoch Coating 84'. Inspired by the visual character of 1980s photography, this coating produces distinctive gold-purple flares in backlit situations and a warm, nostalgic colour rendering. As a result, the lens combines a modern optical design with a deliberately organic, less clinical image character.

Optically, the Ksana 35mm f/2 ASPH uses a construction of 8 elements in 5 groups, including one aspherical element, one ED element and two HRI elements. This configuration supports high resolution, well-controlled aberrations and smooth bokeh. The bright f/2 maximum aperture enables flexible low-light shooting and clear subject separation when used wide open.

The minimum focus distance is 0.5 m. For use with classic rangefinder cameras, a tactile resistance at 0.7 m reminds the user of the typical rangefinder focusing limit. The crescent-shaped focus tab supports intuitive, precise handling and reinforces the classic shooting experience of the lens.
