SHAPE Panasonic GH5 Cage

The Panasonic GH5 cage from SHAPE is a formfitting, lightweight, robust cage built and designed to protect the Panasonic LUMIX GH5 camera. It wraps securely around the camera body, preventing unwanted rotation while providing an abundance of 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for accessories.

The camera is fixed to the cage by a 1/4″-20 screw under the unit; and the position is secured with the back and sides of the cage, so it will not move forward when equipped with a heavy lens. The cage provides quick and easy access to the lens release button, battery door, and memory card. It features open access on top for mounting accessories onto the GH5’s electronic hot shoe. A second built-in shoe on the side offers an additional accessory mounting point.

The cage for the Panasonic GH5 is designed to be compatible with the full-size HDMI cable protector lock on the side, to secure the use of your HDMI 4K cable. Also, the baseplate section of the cage is designed with a removable Metabones® Support Bracket. When there is no Metabones® adapter, the ¼-20 screw is captive, so you don’t have to remove it from the cage and simply slide the bracket from under the cage.
