The MOFAGE POCO Variable ND Filter is a drop-in filter for the MOFAGE POCO system, providing variable light reduction from ND 0.3 to ND 2.4, equivalent to 1 to 8 stops.
Because the filter is positioned inside the POCO adapter behind the lens, exposure can be controlled independently of the filter thread size of the lens in use. The filter can remain in the adapter when lenses are changed.
An integrated gear ring uses standard 0.8 MOD gearing. This allows the ND setting to be adjusted manually or remotely with a suitable focus motor.
POCO filters and adapters from the first and second generations are generally cross-compatible. When the previous-generation VND is used with a POCO II adapter, however, the documented maximum lens insertion depth is reduced.
