“QD” stands for “Quality Defined”. The QD Series redefines the Price Quality Relationship in this price range, bringing a new balance between price, payload, and performance.The QD-10 Tripod System features a Head with center tilt lock, a counterbalance meter, a smooth counterbalance system and a flat base & 150mm ball. The Smooth Counterbalance System is a unique Libec technology that allows the counterbalance knob to be adjusted with constant motion to smoothly reach the minimum and maximum power range. The foldaway knob is designed for easy speedy adjustments. The counterbalance power level kan be easily viewed by looking at the meter. For the cameras system´s safety, the head can be phsyically locked into a center tilt poition with help of the Center Tilt Lock. Even at a distance, the arrow shaped knob and Lock/Unlock symbols are visible. The BL-150 ball base adapter is included inside this kit, which converts the flat base head into a 150mm ball head. The Pedestal features the tracking locking mechanism and cable guards which come standard with the large-sized double-wheel 125mm / 4.9" casters. The tracking locking mechanism ensures straight-line movement by locking the caster direction, while the cable guards prevent the wheels from running over the cable during studio production. The gas spring inside the pedestal supports the mid column´s elevation, allowing safe and easy height adjustments and setups with heavy equipment. It can also be easily disassembled into the pedestal column, the steering handle and the Dolly. This makes it easy to transport within studios and outsite broadcast sites. The air pressure can be easily checked with the air pressure meter. It´s Flat Base is not only compatible with Libec heads but other brand heads as well. With optional accessories, ball based heads can also be attached on this pedestal. The upper column friction can be adjusted to preferred setting with the drag knob.
