The DZOFILM Octopus Adapter II allows compatible PL lenses to be used on L-Mount cameras. As a precision-made, purely mechanical lens adapter, it expands the usability of professional cine lenses and supports flexible camera setups in daily production work.
The second generation of the Octopus Adapter series is designed for low weight, high stability and easy handling. The body is made from lightweight aluminium alloy, while the mount is made from stainless steel. According to DZOFILM, the construction achieves a manufacturing precision of 0.01 mm and remains reliable and stable even after up to 100,000 mounting cycles.
For more comfortable operation, the adapter has been redesigned with improved ergonomics. The handle makes mounting and removing the adapter easier, while the detachable 1/4" base shifts weight towards the adapter and helps relieve stress on the camera body. Newly added directional guides for installation and removal support fast, intuitive handling on set.
The Octopus Adapter II is precisely calibrated for the correct flange focal distance and supports reliable infinity focus without complex additional calibration. With increased internal clearance, DZOFILM specifies 7.12% more space, allowing the adapter to accommodate a wider range of PL lenses, from professional prime and zoom sets to lightweight cine lenses.
