NAGASOFT Caster X1

The Caster X1 is a powerful production tool that can be easily integrated into any professional production workflow.  The intuitive operation enables even inexperienced users, e.g. in conference rooms, lecture halls or in collaboration with electronic learning platforms, to select different video sources, record, playback and stream simultaneously. The 11.6'' full HD touchscreen monitor, displaying the 6 input signals, the programme stream and controls, provides a reliable overview of programme operations.

The Caster X1 is a tool with many functions, such as multi-channel switching, 6-channel recording, streaming, audio mixing, visualisation of special effects and signal monitoring. It also has a built-in Ethernet module, a WIFI module and a 4G module for sim cards, making it ready for all conceivable webcast scenarios.

Up to six video signals in different resolutions (2 x SDI, 2 x HDMI, 1 x network stream and 1 x from internal storage) can be connected simultaneously.
With the paid NDI|HX licence, it is possible to integrate the caster into the NDI workflow and make live productions even more efficient. NDI is now the most widespread IP technology on the market.

Multi-platform live streaming
With just one click, the programme stream can be streamed directly to various platforms such as Mudu, AndLive, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo as well as RTMP or SRT compatible servers without the need for a PC. Depending on the available bandwidth, multiple streams can be transmitted simultaneously. Using a QR code, you can connect your smartphone to the caster without being on the same WLAN. The Nagasoft smartphone app facilitates text input on the unit, so you can easily enter or copy even long ULRs.

NET input
An external RTMP/RTSP stream can be fed into the caster via the NET input and is available as a video source.

PTZ control
The caster supports control of up to 4 IP PTZ cameras, which can be used as additional video sources (as RTSP streams) simultaneously. Functions such as zoom, focus, iris, stored viewing angles as well as 8 different directions can be operated. Supports ONVIF, VISCA over IP as well as the NDI protocol and supplies power to connected PTZ cameras via PoE (Power over Ethernet). The Onvif Auto Discovery function enables convenient integration of new PTZ cameras at the touch of a button.

Video recording
The caster can record up to 6 video signals as compressed H264 4:2:0 video in MP4 format (SDI-1/2, HDMI-1/2, 1 x external network stream, 1 x programme). The video quality of the recordings can be selected variably from 1 to 25 Mbps, audio in fixed steps from 64 to 320 Kbps.
External data carriers can be connected via the USB port to import or export videos. In addition, ftp (file transfer protocol) allows the transfer of stored videos to external servers.

Network support
With Ethernet, WiFi and a 4G module (for sim cards), all requirements for live transmissions are covered.

No-Delay Switching / Transition Effects
No-delay switching of the six video signals is done comfortably via the touch display. Simply by touching the respective video channel. Transition effects with adjustable transition duration enable a harmonious cut when the video source is changed.

Picture in picture
The caster enables the display of 10 different picture-in-picture effects, which can be shifted as desired simply by touch input. Up to 4 different video signals can be displayed simultaneously in one picture.

XLR inputs and outputs
In addition to the video inputs, two microphones can be connected via XLR connectors. A selectable audio delay allows synchronisation with video signals. A headphone jack and two XLR outputs allow professional monitoring and audio output to external devices.

Audio Mixer Function
With the integrated audio mixer, the input and output volume of the audio signal of each source can be adjusted.

Scoreboard function
With a large number of templates for "scoreboards", the results of live sporting events such as basketball, football, table tennis, badminton or volleyball can be faded in directly into the stream.

Character Generator (CG) Fade-in
With the Character Generator, up to 12 preset or imported images in jpg/png format can be directly integrated and freely positioned.

Live+ connectivity
Thanks to the Naga NDDIP protocol, front-end devices such as smartphones and encoders can be instantly integrated wirelessly by scanning a QR code or entering a numerical code.

Professional interface
A professional and intuitive user interface makes live streaming easy and effective. Optionally, a mouse and keyboard can be connected via the USB port.

Firmware updates
The manufacturer is constantly developing the Caster X1. When connected to the internet, it checks for firmware updates and displays this in the menu. You can find out about the latest developments and then decide whether you want to download an update.
