SHAPE RED Komodo shoulder mount with Matte Box and Follow Focus

The three-piece cage kit, the 15 mm LW baseplate system and the L-shaped top handle offer protection and accessory-mounting threads for your RED Digital Cinema Komodo 6K camera.

The 15 mm LW Baseplate system is designed to match the RED® KOMODO™ optical center with or without the expander module. It features an adapter plate, a dovetail spacer with Arri rosette mounts and a 15 mm LW baseplate. Strongly mount the dovetail plate at the bottom of your camera body with 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 screws. The dovetail plate slides into the dovetail spacer which is mount to the 15 mm LW baseplate. Simply slide out from your dovetail spacer and slide it back into your ronin 2 gimbal system without having to screw or unscrew any plates. The dovetail spacer can receive SHAPE Arri rosette on both sides and features 3/8"-16, ARRI-style anti-twist threads to mount accessories. The 15 mm LW baseplate comes with a pair of 15 mm rods 12” and the bottom of the plate features several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting holes for mounting and balancing your camera on equipment like a tripod.

The three-piece cage kit and L-shaped top handle offer protection and accessory-mounting threads for your RED® KOMODO™ camera. The L-shaped handle features a solid connection to your top plate using mounting screws. It also features the SHAPE Push-Button Technology, enabling you to balance the weight and rotate the handle in the position you need for a 360-degree axis. The handle is constructed from anodized aluminum and it is lined with a smooth, wooden finger grip made from Canadian maple. It features numerous 3/8″-16 ARRI-style anti-twist accessory threads. The front section of the handle features a cold shoe designed to receive a spring-loaded cold shoe foot. This spring-loaded cold shoe foot is designed with a tilting mount bracket with 1/4″-20 threaded screw to mount accessories like a monitor, a video light, or a microphone weighing up to 4.4 lb. Moreover, each end is secured with a knurled locking knob. Once the accessory is mounted, you can tilt it forward or backward and place it at the desired angle. The position is lockable with the included Allen key.

The three-piece cage kit offers protection and accessory-mounting threads for your RED® KOMODO™ camera. This lightweight, three-piece cage maintains access to your camera's controls and ports and come with thread holes side plates with M6 ARRI rosette on both sides. Made of CNC anodize aluminum., the top plate (KOMOTP) can be mounted strongly at the top of your RED® KOMODO™ camera using two 1/4″-20 UNC socket head cap screws. The plate features 3/8″-16 and ¼ 20 UNC threaded mounting holes, including the ARRI anti-rotating system to better secure your accessories. Two removable 15 mm LW rod bloc clamp (15CTH) can be mounted at the front of the top plate, allowing easy positioning of your accessories. Each sides of the rod bloc clamp are also designed with a ratchet system to strongly secure your rods to the rig. 

The SHAPE Quick handle rod bloc is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handle grips, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple Push-Button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal. Combined with the anodized aluminum rod bloc, the quick handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Bloc. The rod bloc is designed with 2 screw-threaded holes allowing the mounting of the Quick Handle. SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button handle, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developed to give filmmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the handle in the best position for your use. Push, adjust, release, and then its lock.

The SHAPE mini composite shoulder pad is padded for superior comfort and is made of slip-free material. It is designed with a 15 mm rod block on top allowing to hold 15 mm rods for camera and accessories to be attached. The screw knob allows to attach SHAPE counter-weight (PAD1, PADCW1). By adding extra male-female rods at the back, you can also attach a counter-weight behind the same rods. This way, your body can easily supports the weight of the camera and its accessories. The shoulder pad is also the perfect solution for switching rapidly from shoulder to tripod without having to remove the shoulder pad. It can remain on the camera rig permanently.

The back pad (PAD1) features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. It is compatible with the SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad (SHPAD3, SHPAD2, SHPAD1) and can be attach or remove easily from your rig via a 1/4-20 camera screw knob. Additionally, the back pad’s position can be adjusted to the user’s preference – up to 2″ vertically and 360° horizontally. The bottom of the back pad is designed with (2) 1/4-20 threaded holes, allowing to attach other accessories or counterweights.

Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15 mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.  At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheels attached to a single aluminum 15 mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it's tightened by a locking lever. The clamp's rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses. Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49 mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses. For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.

A silicone matte box mounted on a CNC aluminum main frame with an outer diameter of up to 124 mm. It provides a wide field of view for a variety of wide-angle lenses.
Two 4×5.6 filter trays (one rotary) with easy access handles that allow one-handed filter changes. 4×4 filters can also be installed in the trays. The frame includes two stops at the bottom of the filter trays section to prevent the filters from falling through. The removable swing-away module makes lens changes a snap. A spring pin helps to lock the mechanism closed without manually setting the pin. 2 magnets hold it in place when closed.
Removable height adjustable rod block with one tightening knob allows micro-adjustment of height, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of lenses. The rod block can be re-installed directly on the main frame for a straight configuration. The complete kit allows three different configurations, (swing-away, straight and clip-on).

Removable light carbon fiber french flag can be attached to the top to prevent flares. A series of adapter rings are included in the kit:

• Fabric knicker: 124mm

Pair of 15 mm rods 18" long that fit studio and LWS 15 mm rod clamps, allowing you to use available rod mounted accessories. The rods are machined from hollow aluminum tubes and feature chamfered ends that make it easier to insert into 15 mm rod clamps, even if the rod isn't perfectly aligned or is at a slight angle to the rod clamp.
